Starting in downtown Pigeon Forge, join your guide and head to the city of Gatlinburg for a history lesson on how Gatlinburg got its start. Photograph top landmarks and discover the history of the early, prominent families who lived here, and what makes it all tick today.

Head to the top of the mountain to Rockefeller Memorial, then down to Wears Valley where history abounds, along with cute local shops.

Next up, it's time for Townsend. This beautiful place is referred to by locals as "The quieter side of the Smokies". Explore the former logging town, learn about Little River Railroad and the town's annual events, and visit Dark Island swinging bridge, once used by locals to cross the river to get to work.

Peek inside the Little River company museum and see restored engines, then head to the small community of Walland. Check out amazing views looking back into the park, and if you're lucky, see the three tallest peaks in the Smoky Mountains.
