Getting there:
- By foot: About 45 minutes walking from the center of Sintra
- Bus: Scotturb Line 434 (Pena circuit) from Sintra Train Station
- Train from Lisbon (Estação do Oriente, Estação do Rossio, or Estação de Entrecampos)
- Please note that the venue is not reachable by car
Transfer services:
- There is a paid transfer service available bringing guests from the park entrance to the palace. The service runs every 15 minutes and is wheelchair accessible
- There's a free hop-on hop-off transfer service available between the Palace and the Chalet of the Countess of Edla. Simply show your entrance ticket and hop on!

- No animals are allowed in, apart from guide dogs
- Flash photography and tripods aren't allowed inside the palace

Terrible
It was impossible to make it to the entrance on time. Bus takes forever to get there and then lines to get in. I would never recommended buying in advance. I never made it for my time slot, and...
It was impossible to make it to the entrance on time. Bus takes forever to get there and then lines to get in. I would never recommended buying in advance. I never made it for my time slot, and it was a waste of money. I did get to wonder the terraces but you can do that for a 1/3 of the cost.

Timed entry worked well at the Peña Palace. Very busy. The moor’s castle was a great place but with absolutely no protection from the rain and wind.
