Truly beautiful and extensive gardens, got to visit the chalet of the second wife inside and visit all the different balconies and passerelles of the main castle! Great value for money!

This site was the only one, including the official place site, that made it easy to buy just the park ticket. As the site said, with the park ticket you get access to all the terraces without the slow interior tour. Well worth it.
Pena Park in Sintra: Entry Ticket
About: National Palace of Pena and Park
This 16th-century monastery was transformed into a royal palace by King Ferdinand II. Not known for his subtlety, Ferdinand's folly is a no-holds-barred tribute to the wealth and influence of 19th-century Portugal.
A testament to the power of imagination (and money), the Pena Palace is surrounded by 500 acres of plants and maze-like pathways.
