Nestled in the heart of the Tuileries Garden lies the historic Jeu de Paume, an iconic cultural institution and artistic hub, dedicated to showcasing images from the 20th and 21st centuries. This includes photography, video, contemporary art, cinema, and online creations. Through its curated exhibitions, film cycles, seminars, educational activities, and publications, Jeu de Paume seeks not only to highlight the work of renowned artists such as Richard Avedon, Diane Arbus, and Sally Mann, but also to introduce emerging talents like Omer Fast and Ali Cherri. Each exhibition tells a unique story, whether historical or contemporary, and attracts an increasingly diverse audience. Jeu de Paume is more than an art center

The museum is lovely and very well organized. The exhibit this time was not my favorite though.

I am sorry to report that it was one of the most disappointing museum/art gallery exhibits that i have ever experienced.
Mostly smallish, black & white photos are possibly a challenge (and daring) for a show, but I have been to shows like this in the past and have found some connection and wonder the works, however I didn't derive anything meaningful from the exhibit at Jeu Paume: this was my 1st visit to the Jeu Paume. (The other part of my party went to L'Orangerie - which I have been to many times (we lived in Paris for 5 years) ... I wish I had gone with them to L'Orangerie instead.
Hopefully this isn't too harsh, but I was really extraordinarily disappointed with the exhibit ... and it's best I think that I be frank and direct about it. Best Peter Peter Smith, Toronto, Canada
