Yes! You can park onsite at the New York Aquarium. Parking rates are determined by the duration of your stay. Please note that all vehicles must vacate the parking lot by 5:00 PM.
If you are getting there by car, this address will take you straight to the parking lot: 602 Surf Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11224.
If driving to the New York Aquarium in the summer, cars are only permitted to turn left into the Aquarium parking lot and must approach heading WEST along Surf Ave (coming from Ocean Parkway).
While the New York Aquarium does offer onsite parking, the Big Apple has a fantastic public transport system that allows you to avoid traffic and parking.
- Take the F or Q train to the West 8th St. station in Coney Island
- Take the B36 bus to Surf Ave. and West 8th St
- Take the B68 bus to Neptune Ave. and West 8th St
To enjoy everything the New York Aquarium has to offer, plan to spend between 2 and 2.5 hours.
While all visitors are required to have a date-specific ticket for entry, you can stay as long as you'd like during the regular hours of operation (which can vary depending on the season).

General Information
- Visitors under 17 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone (age 18+)
- Do not feed the animals or throw objects into exhibits and stay on public paths
- Prohibited items include scooters, skateboards, bicycles, and balloons
- Strollers are not allowed in indoor exhibits and the Aquatheater
- Commercial photography or filming requires permission but you're welcome to take non-commercial photographs
- Admission is free after 3:00 PM on Wednesdays, but advance-timed tickets are required
- The park offers military discounts for active US military personnel and veterans
- Hours vary by season. Be sure to look at the current schedule before your visit
