Established in 1907, the Sondheim Theatre brims with historic charm. Despite suffering severe damage during a World War II bombing in 1940, the theatre stands today. Its modern exterior and foyer belie the untouched grandeur of the auditorium within.
After a 20-year hiatus, the theatre reopened. It has played host to many stars, hosting stellar performances from the likes of Fred Astaire, Noel Coward, and Kenneth Branagh. The Sondheim Theatre has been the home of the classic musical, Les Misérables since 2004.
