This full-day history tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Museum takes you into the infamous WWII concentration camps. You'll get all your questions answered as you learn some real-world history with a licensed guide, who will explain the significance of the holocaust.
Head out of Krakow in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan to KL Auschwitz 1. Walk through the iron gate bearing the notorious slogan - Arbeit Macht Frei - which means Work Sets You Free. Next, make your way to block 11, the so-called prison within the prison. Block 11 was once home to torture chambers, where various punishments were inflicted to prisoners.
Next, you'll be led to KL Auschwitz 2 Birkenau, where over 1 million people died. This part of the camp is 25 times bigger than Auschwitz 1, and was the largest of the concentration camps. Your visit ends at the Memorial, where you can pay your respects to all the victims of the genocide.
