This tour, departing from Amsterdam, gives you access to three top experiences in, and around, the Hague. You'll take a tour of the city, visit one of its major museums, and head out to see 18th-century windmills that keep part of the Netherlands above water.
You'll be driven to Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Holland. Dating back to the 1740s, this area with its dikes, pumping stations, and 19 mills drains the polder and keeps the flood of seawater at bay. It's also the famous location of the legend of the cat and the cradle!
Once you arrive in the Hague you'll take a tour of the city, in the minivan you left Amsterdam in, to see all its highlights. There's also a stop for lunch, so you can grab a bite to eat before heading to the museum of your choice.
Take your pick from: the Mauritshuis – home to some of the best Dutch paintings from the Dutch Golden Age, including Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl; Escher in Het Paleis, displaying the mind bending works of M.C. Escher inside a palatial home; or the Madurodam, a miniature city full of creativity and playful activities.
