Slow train ride “Tratzberg- Express”

The Tratzberg Castle is the perfect destination for families in Tyrol. Together you can experience centuries of history firsthand. Learn all about the great fire in 1492 or when Emperor Maximilian I resided at the castle.

Of course, in addition to the numerous impressive rooms, there are also some of the castle's secret passages and hidden doors, which will be introduced to you through an guided tour.

If a fairytale self-guided tour isn't enough for the little ones, they can ride the "Tratzberg Express," a slow train through the forest. Refreshments await in the adjacent Schlosswirt, in its cozy guest garden.

The Tratzberg Castle car park is located on the "Unterinntaler Landesstraße". From here you can either walk to the castle (duration approx. 20 minutes) or use the slow train "Tratzberg-Express" (departs in front of the Schlosswirt, every approx. 20 minutes)
