Important note: At Hagia Sophia Mosque Disabled visitors and visitors with walking difficulties are unable to enter e through the second floor of the gallery. This group of visitors can proceed with their tickets to the entrance on the first floor, which is the entrance for Turkish citizens, therefore this group of people can only enter the first floor (praying area).

  • Disabled visitors or with walking difficulties can proceed to the entrance on the first floor, which is the entrance for Turkish citizens, therefore this group of people can only enter the first floor (praying area).
  • Friday: Hagia Sophia Mosque closed to tourists from 12:00 to 14:00
  • Disabled visitors and visitors with walking difficulties: Only the first floor is accessible at the Hagia Sophia Mosque.
  • Audio guide: Wi-fi available on site
  • Dress code: Women are required to cover their hair, shoulders, knees and chest (scarf available for purchase onsite). Men are required to cover their knees and shoulders. Tattoos and Symbols need to be covered.
  • Security line: It cannot be skipped and can take time to pass in high season. Arrive early in the morning for a reduced waiting time
  • Strollers: They need to be folded and carried by hand due to the historical floor
