To Paint Is to Live: Art & Resistance in Theresienstadt Holocaust Museum LA

15 Feb 2024 — 30 Nov 2024

Established by the Nazis in 1941, Theresienstadt was falsely portrayed as a model town but was actually designed to accelerate death. Despite the cruel conditions, prisoners used art to express their identity and resist oppression.

The exhibition "To Paint is to Live" showcases how art helped maintain human dignity in such extreme adversity.
