The Mémorial Itinérant, designed by museographer Lydia Elhadad, focuses on the life of Friedel Bohny Reiter, a nurse with the Swiss Red Cross during 1941/1942.
It highlights the humanitarian efforts in the Rivesaltes camp and prompts reflection on the fight against xenophobia, racism, and anti-Semitism.

Forteresse de Salses
The Forteresse de Salses is a Catalan-built fortress in the commune of Salses-le-Château, in the French département of Pyrénées-Orientales. Built at the end of the 15th century, it guarded the former frontier between Spain and France.
Its layout and architecture is a rare example of the transition between a medieval-style castle and a more modern fortress. Today, it is open to the public and attracts 10,000 visitors every year.
