Guided tour

Franco Zeffirelli, who died aged 96 in 2019, was one of the most famous actors and opera directors in Italy. Step into the world of cinema and opera and explore its changing faces over the last century with tickets to the Franco Zeffirelli Museum.

There are over 250 works by Maestro Zeffirelli to explore here, including stage sketches, drawings, and sketches of costumes showcasing the developments of theatrical productions and film productions. You'll find out how the operas he directed were made, how the costumes came about, and see a short film by Zeffirelli about Dante's Inferno.

The museum's archive also includes Zeffirelli's personal library, a collection of 10,000 volumes made available to the public.
