Molti ingressi sponsorizzati nei musei sono in realtà gratuiti di per sé e altri a pagamento sono mediocri. Belli i giri con degustazione nelle distillerie

Glasnevin Cemetery

Glasnevin Cemetery is the resting place of over 1.5 million people, some of whom were prominent figures in Irish history. This Victorian burial ground was founded in 1832 and intended for people of all faiths - something pretty outrageous at a time when Catholics were banned from burial in Protestant graveyards. Daniel O’Connell, the cemetery's founder and political leader, is buried here, as is Irish revolutionary Michael Collins. The onsite Glasnevin Museum is the world's first cemetery museum and - among other accolades - it was winner of Ireland’s Best Cultural Experience at the Irish Tourism Industry Awards 2015. The National Botanic Garden of Ireland is adjacent to Glasnevin Cemetery, and you can enter this premier scientific institution for free. The gardens also contain the National Herbarium and several historic wrought iron glasshouses.

Titanic Belfast

The 6-floor building known as Titanic Belfast is the world’s biggest Titanic visitor experience. You'll find it next to the Titanic Slipways, the Harland and Wolff Drawing offices and Hamilton Graving Dock, which is the place Titanic herself was designed, built, and launched in 1911. Right next to the Titanic Belfast sits the SS Nomadic, the last remaining White Star Line vessel. It was designed by Thomas Andrews and built using the same design as RMS Titanic!

Teeling Whiskey Distillery

If you like a little tipple on a day trip, here's a destination for the Dublin list. The Teeling Whiskey Distillery, right in the heart of the city centre is the perfect place for anyone interested in Dublin's association – or, more accurately, obsession – with Irish whiskey. The Bang Bang Bar has great views over the city, and the on-site café has delicious food to help soak up all that booze.

The National Wax Museum Plus

The National Wax Museum Plus is right in the middle of Dublin, just a two minute walk from Trinity College, and close to other highlights like Dublin Castle and Temple Bar. Here's where stars of the present - like Liam Neeson and U2 - rub waxy shoulders with greats of the past - including Samuel Beckett and James Joyce. There are other fun features as well, including a green screen video studio, a chamber of horrors, and the Kid's World area.
