Access to El Soplao cave
Discovered by Cantabrian miners in 1908, the El Soplao cave offers one of the most impressive speleological sights in Europe. A wonder of geology, you’ll have the chance to see eccentrics, stalactites, stalagmites, lava flows, columns, pearls of the caverns, and dog-tooth crystals.
Named after the blowing air that is felt when a tunnel with less oxygen perforates another, El Soplao is an essential visit for anyone in the region. This subterranean theatre is a spectacle of sensations, with a play of shadow and light, and an abundance of color that will leave you fascinated by the potential of nature.
