This nocturnal wildlife experience in Far North Queensland gets you up close to Australia's unique native wildlife, day and night! During your tour you'll visit the scenic Atherton Tablelands, an area rich in biodiversity that features a range of habitats including lush tropical rainforest and volcanic crater lakes.
Start your experience with afternoon tea at the world renowned Lake Barrine, then set out (before the sun goes down) and go looking for the musky rat-kangaroo, Boyd's forest dragon, a selection of rainforest birds, butterflies and flying foxes. At dusk, you'll venture to the viewing area by the river to search for the platypus, one of the most unique mammals on earth.
After dinner at a local country restaurant, the night time spotlighting adventure begins. As you walk under the night stars, and into the World Heritage Rainforest, you might be lucky enough to spot a Lumholtz's tree-kangaroo, northern leaf tailed gecko, ringtail possums, gliders, frogs, owls, and more.
Every night is full of discoveries!
